The organisation conducts activities and provides services for older people, for disabled older people and those threatened by or suffering from social exclusion.
We provide support for our local older community in different ways to meet their individual needs. Some of our work involves running services e.g. luncheon clubs, trips and outings, and holidays. Some activities are more informal such as Social Care Groups, Home Befriending and a Telephone Contact Projects.

| Some of our activities are to do with community activism [advocacy, health, rights and welfare issues, and the empowerment of older people].
Otley Action for Older People has no direct competition at this level in delivering many of these specific services and activities, although there are a several other organisations within the district working on behalf of older people.
